Niraj Kapur is one of my favs because he’s earnest, generous and
rewards himself with heavy metal band t-shirts.
He’s a LinkedIn top voice, three-time author, TedTalk speaker, Salesforce Top Sales Influencer to Follow and a trusted sales coach.
Best of all, he dispels the stereotypes most associated with as a sales leader,
known for raw truths, vulnerability, and helping others with NO profit motive.
In this episode, Niraj shares his personal experience of overcoming trauma after his divorce and why he asked for help from his parents as a grown man.
“I did something I really didn't want to do. I asked for help. And I reached out to my elderly retired parents. I said please help me and that's really difficult to do, especially when you're a grown man., At the time it felt horrible, but looking back it was a smartest thing I could do”
He explains why asking for help is what smart people do.
Why it’s stinky to think asking for help is a sign of weakness, and
Why it needs to be seen as a sign of strength and career catalyst to move forward.
Niraj doesn’t hold back (ever)
Like me, he shares his frustration when giving free help and seeing people not taking advantage of it because there's nothing worse than seeing unfulfilled potential in others.
If you’re resisting asking for help, this episode has your name on it.
Whether it’s in your job search, crappy dead-end position, struggling with a toxic boss, or culture
we’ve got you.
